Vanuatu SPG Squad wins

Vanuatu National South Pacific Games football pre-squad beat Port Vila Northern Squad 2-0 in their last friendly on the 15th August 2007 at Port Vila stadium. The selection players proved before the crowd that they are adapting well in their tactics and combinations after they saw off a determined Port Vila Northern Squad with goals in the second half from Francois Sakama and Victor Malep. The squad had many chances to score but fail to put the ball at the back of the net.
The selection beat Port Vila Southern Squad 1-0 on Monday. The only goal was scored by Seule Soromon. The Squad members are now at the camp at
Mele Village. Vanuatu Squad is in pool B with Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tonga and American Samoa. The 2 top teams in each pool will advance to the semi final and the three top teams in the SPG will advance to the second stage of the OFC world cup qualification with New Zealand.
