Vanuatu to host 2010 U-12 OFC Youth Festival

Vanuatu football has been given enormous boost after the OFC agreed for the  2010 OFC Under 12 competition to take place in Port Vila.

“It will be a big chance for Vanuatu to in 6 scohools totake part in that competition” said Lambert Maltock at auckland,
In addition, the new President of VFF there is also a huge possibility for Vanuatu to send three schools to participate at the upcoming OFC youth festival that will take in May 2008 in New Caledonia. 24 teams will particpate to this competition, host
New Caledonia have 6 teams.
Abuanga Primary School from Pentecost and Erakor Primary School (our photo) are sure to participate to this tournament.
The third school, in stand by for the moment, is
Imaki Primary School from Tanna, who finished third at the National Final the last month at Port Vila.
This event in
New Caledonia will coincide with Star Christian Karembeu jubilee match. Karembeu was part of the french team that won the 98 world Cup, and members of French 98 World Cup winning side that includes Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, David Trezeguet, Fabien Barthez, Marcel Desailly, Emmanuel Petit and other members of team will play against the New Caledonia national side.
“The kids participating at the competition will have their  dreams cometrue as they will be able to meet their idols”
sais Lambert.
