Beachfront Resort Beach Soccer Carnival

Luganville Football Association and Beachfront Resort are please to announce that work has begun to create the pitch for the inaugural Beachfront Resort Beach Soccer Carnival to be held on Easter Monday 24 March 2008 at Beachfront Resort at Red Corner in Luganville.
The intention of the day is to introduce beach soccer to a wide variety of people including football clubs, youth groups and business houses who’ll be encouraged to participate.
Dave Cross of Beachfront Resort is pleased to be working in partnership with Luganville Football Association to develop this exciting new event.
Beach soccer, which originated on the beaches of Brazil, is a relatively new sport being promoted by FIFA, OFC and VFF, although Vanuatu has already participated successfully in international beach soccer competitions recently.
The ultimate aim is to make the Beachfront Resort Beach Soccer Easter Carnival into a feature event on the Vanuatu and Oceania sporting and tourism calendar, on a par with such existing events as the Aore Swim.
